In collaboration with the National Park Service’s National Underground Railroad Network To Freedom Program and the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World Program (CLAW) at the College of Charleston, the Slave Dwelling Project presents a 3-day hybrid conference focused on the 1739 Stono Rebellion by enslaved African Americans, and the ensuing legacy of African-American rebellion, resistance and resilience.
