On Sunday afternoon, SDP founder and director Joe McGill joins Patricia Wilson Pheanious, former Connecticut State Commissioner of Social Services and co-chair of the Witness Stones Project, and Dennis Culliton, founder and executive director of the Witness Stones Project, for a Zoom conversation about the first three years of the Witness Stone Project. To date, this important public history initiative has installed more than 70 Witness Stones honoring enslaved African Americans in Connecticut. Bill Sullivan, a Suffield Historical Society Trustee, will moderate the panel.
