The Slave Dwelling Project (SDP) cordially invites you to join us for the 9th Annual Slave Dwelling Project Conference, a pivotal event dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of enslaved peoples in America. This year’s conference, themed “250 Years and Counting: Reckoning, Resilience, and Remembrance,” will focus specifically on the invaluable contributions of enslaved and free African Americans in South Carolina during the critical period of 1770-1783.
