May 11 @ 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM EDT

Joseph McGill, Jr., founder of the Slave Dwelling Project, will participate in a panel discussion exploring African American cemeteries as sacred spaces and ecological refuges. Drawing from his work preserving and interpreting sites connected to the lives of the enslaved, McGill will share how engaging with these landscapes fosters deeper connections to the ancestors and informs ethical stewardship today.
